Solid and good looking furniture
This is one of the better pieces of furniture I've assembled. The materials feel sturdy and the hardware is solid. The locking mechanism uses a lever action instead of a typical cam lock, though most of the assembly relies on bolts screwed into embedded nuts and dowel pins. No wood glue was included, so I used my own for the dowels. Assembly took about 2 hours going at my own pace, and it's easier with two people for the final steps and moving it into place. The doors have push pin hinges instead of regular hinges—I was skeptical at first but they actually work great and the doors close with a nice fit. Everything arrived packed tight in styrofoam and cardboard, like a well-organized puzzle. Really happy with how it turned out.

Assembly is pretty involved if you're not experienced with that kind of thing, so if you're not handy I'd suggest getting help putting it together. The color came in more of a seafoam green than blue, and the distressing has a gray tone that's probably heavier than some folks would want. It showed up well-packaged, and honestly we weren't thrilled about assembling yet another piece in our new place. But it actually went together pretty fast, the directions were easy to follow, and the whole thing feels solid. The linen seat cushion is a little on the thin side and we'll likely swap it out for something thicker down the road, though what comes with it works fine for now.
