Sturdy and Useful Shelf
I needed a clamp on drawer, but my IKEA desk has this metal bar underneath that only leaves 6" for the drawer to fit. I couldn’t find the right drawer until I came across this one. It’s great! Probably wouldn’t work well as a keyboard tray for me since it would hit my knees (I sit pretty high), but it works perfectly as a drawer on the side. It’s super solid with heavy metal and wood pieces, and it glides nicely except for one part that sticks a bit. It fits well under the bar, and it clings tightly to the desk edge. It doesn’t match my pale maple desk exactly, but it’s close enough. Now I can keep my cat’s fleece pad by the monitor and still grab my office supplies easily. Plus, there’s space for my remote on the sliding shelf, so I don’t lose it. I put it together myself without too much trouble; the instructions were straightforward with good visuals, and I just needed a Phillips screwdriver. I did place it a bit awkwardly over my computer, which makes it hard to reach the power switch, but I’ve got room for it since I mostly only press it once daily. A few things that could improve it: having black clamps and hardware to blend in better, making it one solid shelf instead of two pieces, and maybe adding something for grip on the front so it’s easier to pull out. A tiny bevel on the edge would help, too, since it can be a bit sharp on the fingers. But honestly, these are small issues, not enough to take away a star.

Very happy with this purchase! Just a heads up on clearances.
This thing is really solid—no wobbling or shaking at all. The tray slides smoothly, and you can tell it’s built well with nice steel. The only plastic parts are the backstop and the screw handles while the tray itself is made of composite wood. It has a big clamping surface that offers great support. The backstop doesn’t stretch all the way across, but that didn’t bother me. It comes in two sizes: one that slides completely under the desk and one that sticks out a bit. I had a horizontal bar on my desk that got in the way of the clamps, but I just added a wooden block for a flat surface underneath it (check out the pic). If you aren’t up for making adjustments like that, keep an eye on the measurements! I chose this model since it’s wide enough for both my keyboard and mouse.

Very Sturdy and Great for Home Office Setup!
I’ve got to say, this tray has been a game changer for my home office setup! My wife likes to rest her elbows on it while working, but we did run into a little issue where the screws holding the rails to the tray started to strip over time. Thankfully, a quick fix was just swapping the original screws for longer M4-0.7 x 8mm ones from the local hardware store—easy and inexpensive. Adding a dab of locktite kept them secure, and now the tray is sturdy and safe again! Also, if you're considering this for an edge-mounted keyboard tray, it's the largest out there! It fits both a full-sized keyboard and a mouse perfectly. Just a heads up, though: double-check the thickness of your table since the mounting hardware needs to clamp onto it. Ours is 1.75 inches thick, which is snug but works. Just make sure there’s enough flat space under your table since it attaches with clamps. Lastly, I've noticed that if you have the tray pulled all the way in or out, it might not stay in place due to some mounting issues. A little adjustment on the hardware typically fixes that. Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase—it’s made working from home so much more comfortable!

Very sturdy and smooth
This tray feels solid and slides really smoothly. It was easy to put together and looks sleek. It certainly doesn’t feel cheap. It’s wide enough for a full-size keyboard, with decent room left for a mouse. It arrived well-packaged and in condition. A couple of things to keep in mind after using it for a few days: - The clearance between the tray and the bottom of the table is pretty small, so measure carefully. My tabletop is around 1-3/8" thick, and there's only about a 3mm gap above my Razer Deathadder with the mousepad. - There's no height adjustment for the tray, which means it’s best used with an adjustable standing desk. Even on a regular desk, it's much more comfortable to have the keyboard lower if you're shorter. - The sides where the tracks and ball bearings are don't have any covering, which is common for these trays. I sometimes find myself resting my hands there or adjusting the tray and end up getting lubricant on my hands. - The tray is 11.5" deep but with a max extension, about 9.5" will stick out. I use a Grifiti wrist pad that’s about 4" wide, so the F-keys end up right at the table's edge. - You can install the tray in one of two ways: either 9.5" extended with about 1.5" showing when tucked in, or around 8" extended with the tray almost flush with the edge. Either way, some part of it will stick out.

Extremely Sturdy Tray, Perfect for WFH!
I recently purchased this keyboard tray from Hawkins Woodshop, and it’s been a game changer for my home office setup. My wife works at the dining table, and we needed something solid that could support both her full-size keyboard and mouse. This tray is definitely the biggest and sturdiest option out there for edge mounting. It came with strong mounting hardware that's heavy-duty and includes rubber pads to protect the table surface. Just a heads up though, if you're going to put some weight on this, keep in mind that after repeated use, the screws attaching the rail to the tray can wear down. I had to replace the M4 screws with slightly longer ones to keep it tight, but honestly, that was an easy fix. I picked up some M4-0.7 x 8mm screws from a local hardware store and added a dab of locktite to make sure they wouldn’t loosen over time. Make sure to measure your table first! My table is exactly 1.75” thick, and while the mounting hardware fit, it’s a snug fit. Also, just consider that if the edge of your table isn’t flat or has a curved edge, you might run into some installation issues. Overall, my wife is much more comfortable now, which is a win for both of us. I’d highly recommend this tray if you’re working from home and need a solid solution!

Solid and Smooth Operation
I really like this tray. It feels sturdy and slides nice and smooth. Installation was a breeze, and it looks great. The quality's not cheap, plus it's wide enough for a full-sized keyboard with some extra room for my mouse. It arrived quickly and was well-packaged without any damage. A couple of things to note from my first few days using it: - Make sure to measure before you buy! There's not much clearance between the tray and the table below. My tabletop is around 1-3/8" thick, so there’s just about a 3mm gap above my mouse and mousepad. - There’s no height adjustment, which means for the best setup, I’d recommend using it with a standing desk. Even with a regular desk, it’s way more comfortable having the keyboard lower if you’re on the shorter side. - I noticed there’s no covering on the sides where the tracks and ball bearings are, which is pretty common. I sometimes rest my hands there or try to make adjustments, and I end up with lubricant on my hands. - The tray is 11.5" deep, but only about 9.5" sticks out when fully extended. I use a thicker wrist pad, so the F-keys are nearly touching the table edge when in use. - You can install it in two ways: either have 9.5" extended with about 1.5" showing under the table, or about 8" extended, which leaves the tray almost flush with the edge of the table when tucked in. Either way, expect some part of it to stick out. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it!
