Great choice if your dog isn't an escape artist
Like others mentioned, the latches are pretty small, so if you've got a Houdini dog this won't work. But for our chill 6 month old pup who's fine with her kennel, it's been perfect. Took my partner and me about 2 hours to build it. The instructions are detailed and thorough—just gotta take your time matching everything up correctly. I'm happy with how tall it is and the overall build quality feels solid. One thing: the metal food and water dish holder had some sharp edges on it, so we skipped installing that part. We threw a cheap plastic tray under there instead to keep water from damaging the wood. Our dog doesn't seem bothered by it being slightly off the ground. People have complimented the look of it too, and we like having that shelf up top. I was worried about going with a budget option but couldn't swing something pricier, and for a dog who's not trying to break out, this turned out to be a great buy.

Great buy, solid 4.8 stars
Our lab mix is getting pretty big, and I have no worries about leaving her in here while I'm at work. She's got plenty of room to sit, stand, and stretch out. The cage looks decent in the living room too, which is a bonus. It's sturdy and I was able to put it together myself. Also, her existing food bowls fit the stand, so we'll just keep the ones that came with it for travel. A few small things kept it from a 5 for me, but none of them are about quality. The seams on top show up pretty noticeably—would've looked nicer if those parts were solid. Also wish the bowl stand and swivel panel could go on either side depending on your setup, since ours is against a wall so we can't use that feature. The doors stuck a bit at first, but adjusting the feet and squaring everything up fixed it. The locks work fine but the latches could use a bigger or smoother handle to grab. Overall, it's definitely worth the money!

Great product and fantastic support from Colby
Got this crate damaged pretty badly - box was crushed with a huge tear in the side that let all the hardware spill out. Shipping company messed up, not Hawkins Woodshop. Colby stepped up though and handled it fast, got me a replacement hardware pack with everything I needed right away. Really impressed with how they took care of it. The crate itself is solid. Assembly takes some time with all the parts, but the instructions are clear so it's doable. Looks great and sturdy, plus I like that the end panel spins to make it easy to reach the food and water bowls. One thing - it's an odd size. I usually put a plastic tray in my crates for accidents, but nothing I have fits this one. That's a letdown. Still holding up well though and happy with it overall.

Happy with the crate!
This crate is really nice! I found it a bit tricky to put together, but that might just be me being tired. I have a large pit bull, about the size of a grown lab, and she fits perfectly—plenty of room to turn around and stretch. I’ve got my blue healer mix in the other side, and she could probably do flips if she wanted to. Overall, I'm impressed with the size and look of this crate. The latch style isn't my favorite, but it works fine for my pups. I'll share an update later on how it holds up with my lively girls.
