Built a laundry pedestal using 3 benches
I stacked 3 of these benches together to create a laundry platform that fits over my washer and dryer with room to store baskets underneath. Used wood paint sticks wrapped in black duct tape to fill the gaps on the ends, then zip tied everything down tight. Topped it with a sheet of plywood (painted the edges black) and added a rubber garage mat on top. Turned out sturdy and way cheaper than buying those laundry pedestals that only work with specific machines. Mine will work with whatever washer/dryer I have next. The benches go together faster with an electric screwdriver. The MDF feels light, not sure if it's hollow inside. I like the metal bars running along the sides—they're useful. The whole setup has held up well and gives me plenty of storage space underneath for laundry baskets. No complaints so far.

These aren't solid wood, but for the price, getting two is a pretty good deal. I've bought some pricey benches from other stores that were just veneer over particle board.
