Solid Desk with Some Assembly Tips
This desk is just what I expected from the description and photos. There’s lots of legroom, and I can even cross my legs under it without any issue. I might be able to fit a keyboard tray under there too. The packaging was good—everything was wrapped up nicely, and most pieces were numbered to match the instructions. A couple of notes to keep in mind: 1) The drawers are made of cardboard covered with fabric, and while they look decent, I wouldn’t put anything too heavy in them. The handles were a bit tricky to put on since the screws are tiny, and one handle had some paint chipped off, but I’ll just face that side down for now. 2) Grab a flathead screwdriver or two for the assembly; they really help with the plastic screws for the metal rods in the drawers, and needed for the braces too. The braces fit into the legs but weren’t sliding in easily, so we pried them open a bit, and that worked well. 3) There are three different leg sets, so make sure to pay attention to which goes where. We mixed them up at first, and it took extra time to fix. The instructions didn’t quite make it obvious. 4) You can put the side pocket on the same side as the drawers, even though the pictures don’t show that. The pocket doesn’t match the drawers as nicely, though. 5) The desktop is two pieces and they’re a bit warped. It’s not a huge deal for me, but I’ll need to use something under my paper when writing to avoid bumps. 6) Lastly, make sure to hand-tighten as many screws as you can—it’s way faster than using the hex tool that comes with it. Overall, I think this desk is great for the price!
