I know the title mentions my puppy, but he’s actually an 8-year-old, 14-pound Coton de Tulear mix. This was easy to put together; I didn’t even need my power screwdriver! I had it set up in about 20 minutes, unpacking and all. It looks nice and fits perfectly with the farmhouse style in our home! The 'wood' is actually particle board, so think of the kind of furniture you’d get for your college dorm or first apartment—Walmart quality. I don’t think it’d hold up well for dogs who have a lot of energy or like to chew. It’s probably more suitable for older, calmer dogs like mine. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it comes with a pad! The front gate has a good lock, similar to a metal crate. The side entry has a bit of a flimsy dog bone-shaped hinge lock, though, which might break easily if my dog tries to push it. Overall, if you’re not dealing with a young, energetic puppy, this could work well for your dog. I’m really happy with it, and my pup seems to enjoy his new space; he went right in without any prompts!
