I searched around for some desks and this one had great ratings compared to others I found. The base seems decent in sturdiness, and putting it together was straightforward – took a little while, but the instructions were clear (just a small L wrench included, no other tools). The width is nice too. The quality of the individual pieces appears solid, but I do have a few issues. First off, the tabletop is made of two separate pieces instead of a single slab, and they’re pretty thin at about half an inch. When I rest my arms to type, the desk shifts a bit, and I can notice my monitor wobbling. It feels like the front piece might bend because there’s no support underneath it in the middle where it rests. Plus, because the tabletop is in two pieces, there’s a noticeable unevenness where they join. If you choose the black tabletop, be ready for fingerprints and smudges. Also, one of the screws at the bottom is spinning, so it doesn’t hold that front piece down well. Honestly, for the price, I feel like there are better options out there. You can find similar desks for $30-$40 less or even some better ones for a bit more. Just a heads up, don’t expect an office-quality desk at this price point. There’s no warranty info provided here either, while other desks have longer coverage. Overall, I’d give a one-star rating for the support issues I faced and the desk’s sturdiness, price, and thickness.
