Surprisingly sturdy
I was a bit hesitant to buy this tv stand due to my past experiences with particle board furniture, but I'm glad I did. It really changed my perspective on engineered wood products. The stand arrived in a surprisingly small box, especially for a 53" wide piece. I opened it up and initially got confused because the instructions show the top and bottom made of three parts instead of one long piece. There are quite a few pieces and hardware included, but the instructions could use some improvement. They’re mostly pictures, and some are a bit unclear about where the hardware goes and how to position the boards. I accidentally assembled the base pieces incorrectly because of this. I managed to complete the assembly over two evenings, taking about 2.5 hours altogether, with one mistake thanks to the unclear instructions. The supplied screwdriver was a bit bent, but it still worked. I did have to clear some debris from a few holes, but it wasn't a big deal. The hardware was sufficient, and there were extra pieces included, which is handy if something goes missing. Overall, I think this stand is a great deal for what you pay. It feels sturdy, and I’m confident it will hold up well for us.

I snagged this stand on sale and I'm pretty happy with it. It took me about an hour and a half to put it together, but it wasn't too bad. The look of the stand is definitely a highlight, even if the build quality isn’t top-notch. Just a heads up, there are a lot of pieces to work with, but once you get the hang of using the labeled screws, cam locks, and pegs, it all fits together nicely. The cabinets shut with magnets, which is cool, and they even included a screwdriver and allen wrench for the assembly. Overall, it's a good-looking and functional TV stand for the price.
