Looks great and is exactly what I needed
We put this unit together on a carpet, following both the paper instructions and the YouTube video link in the manual. While assembling the U-shaped base, we found that three of the screw holes lined up, but the fourth one didn't. We ended up using a power tool to create a slightly shifted hole, but we didn't need a drill bit; the screw worked fine for that. The trickiest part was adding the doors with the hinges—they ended up a bit misaligned at the top, but it’s not too noticeable from afar. There’s also a small gap between the doors where you can see about half an inch of shelving, so we might need to adjust the hinges to fix that. Overall, the unit fits beautifully in our dining room. It was a bit wobbly at first until we added the shelves and some heavier items to the bottom. Now that it’s loaded up—I'm using it as a pantry—it's really steady. Our cats have turned the top into a hideaway, using the dining table as a launch pad, which is kind of fun! One little quirk was that the holes in the cardboard for the metal wall strip weren't centered, so it comes out twisted, making wall attachment a bit tricky.

Nice cabinet with a few small concerns
This cabinet is really nice and was straightforward to put together. The finish looks good and it’s easy to wipe down. I like the different options for shelf placement; it gives a lot of flexibility. There are a couple of things that could use some work. First, the back is made of thin cardboard that’s just tacked on, so it doesn’t add much strength and could break if it gets pushed too hard. Second, the spring-loaded hinges on the doors keep them shut, but I think they feel a bit weak. A magnetic catch on the top of each door would have been better.

Good Pantry with Great Support
I'll be honest, I had some problems with this thing. It arrived with both left and right ends broken in half, probably due to rough handling during shipping. Thankfully, Colby at Hawkins Woodshop sent the replacement parts for free through UPS and had them to me in under a week, which was a plus. As for assembly, the instructions are clear. Just take your time and check the pictures. I messed up by putting the top on upside down, but it was an easy fix. The way the bottom piece is designed is smart; it uses plastic feet attached by screws. It was simple to put together but you'll want a long-neck screwdriver. The back can be a bit tricky. Make sure it's exactly how you want it because the nails have pre-punched holes that could splinter if hammered too close to the edge. I had a small issue with that but managed to fix it. The doors are another story. They adjust easily, but the center of the doors is thin wood that rattles and feels a bit cheap. Putting in the shelves was supposed to be easy, but they were a snug fit. We had to loosen the top piece to get them in, and now they’re tight. At least after tightening everything up, it feels sturdy. Overall, it’s a decent pantry for under $200. If you aren’t going to spend $400-500+, you’re likely getting something hard to build or not made well. This pantry is solid enough for a budget option, and I would recommend it.

Great build quality
This thing is sturdy and feels strong. The adjustable shelves are a bonus, plus there's tons of storage space. I appreciate its simple design, but I value the solid construction even more. My brother-in-law and I put it together pretty quickly; he used a battery-operated screwdriver while I helped hold things steady. I'd recommend having two people for assembly. Definitely a solid purchase!
