Just what I needed, solid and effective
I got my height-adjustable, tiltable laptop swivel stand from Hawkins Woodshop, and it showed up quickly and in perfect condition. I tore open the box, swapped out my old metal cookie tin, set up the new stand, and it was ready to go! I’m liking it. It’s heavy enough not to tip over and holds its ground well. The swivel moves easily, and adjusting the height and tilt is a breeze with just the right amount of resistance to keep it in place. If the joints loosen up over time, the standard nuts and bolts are easy to reach if I need to tighten them. Everything seems thoughtfully made, from the stamped pieces to the cast components. The base has nice non-slip feet at the corners, and the lift/tilt area has strips that keep my laptop from sliding when it’s angled towards my lap. For size reference, my DELL EPS 17 fits perfectly on it. This laptop stand does its job well and was a good price, so I’d recommend it. I’m even thinking about picking up another one for my work laptop that I use on a treadmill desk nearby.
