I had never oiled my cutting boards in the past because I only bought plastic ones. With that said, I used it the first time and was quite simple. Wash cutting board with soap, let dry completely, rub oil put oil on soft rag and rub in circular motion. I used about 1tablespoon. It has nice color now but not oily feeling. I thought price very good.
