Sturdy, nice-looking frame with extras
I recently decided to downsize from a king to a queen bed, and after years of wanting one, I finally committed to a queen mattress and frame from Hawkins Woodshop. The frame is pretty heavy and feels solid, plus it looks nice in my room. I was pleased to find that it comes with a lot of screws and washers, and the parts are all numbered to guide you through assembly with clear diagrams. It’s great to see a company that includes extra screws and bolts, which shows attention to quality. One downside was the hex tool is a bit short, making it tough on my hands and wrists when putting everything together. I ended up using a socket set to secure the nuts better, which worked out—thank goodness! I did notice a small dent on the footboard and a tear in the paper veneer on the headboard, but they aren't huge issues. I managed to fix the tear with some wood glue, and it's hardly noticeable now. Just a heads-up—make sure you use a thicker mattress or a box spring because otherwise it might slip through the headboard opening. I also put some gorilla tape over the screw heads at the bottom to avoid any wear on the mattress. And those side legs? Watch your toes; I’m thinking of using a pool noodle around them for protection. It’s too bad they’re set out from the center of the bed like that. Overall, this frame can hold up to 1100 pounds, which is better than a lot of others I checked out, and I'm happy with it. I definitely recommend it!

Awesome Bed!
I’m really happy with this bed! It’s solid and doesn’t squeak at all. My old mattress feels brand new on it. It was straightforward to assemble; I managed to put it together by myself at 74! I used a 4-inch box spring under my mattress since my 10-inch one was too tall with my 12-inch mattress. Overall, I love this bed!

Great quality and looks good.
This piece is really nice for the price. It's sturdy and versatile, working with or without a box spring or platform based on what you like. I’m using it with my current mattress and box spring. It’s pretty tall, but I’m liking it a lot. I might look for a smaller platform since my box spring is around 7 inches to lower the height a bit. Plus, the extra space underneath is great for storage. Overall, I'm happy with this buy! Just a heads up, it does take some effort to put together—it's not hard, just quite a bit of assembly. But worth it.

So happy with this bed frame!
We’re absolutely in love with this bed frame! We got a California King for ourselves and a Queen for our teenager. There’s tons of storage space underneath, and the headboard is just the right height—it’s sturdy and doesn’t squeak like some other frames do. Putting it together was easy, only took us about an hour or two. I also appreciate that a box spring isn’t required. The mix of metal and wood in the design looks. Couldn't be happier with this purchase!
