Solid build, installation requires time
I really like this bed; the quality is impressive and it looks great once everything is put together. I've had it for about a month and it's held up well so far. I’m giving this bed a solid five stars. My kid and I put it together the day after Christmas, and it took us several hours. We joked it wouldn’t take that long, but it definitely did. The headboard assembly was the most time-consuming part. Some pieces were mislabeled, but looking ahead to the next step helped us figure it out. The box was packed well, and most parts came out in the order we needed. We had no issues with fitment or assembly. Aligning the hinges and locks for the storage headboard might be tricky for some; I ended up driving the hinges in with a flat screwdriver and a hammer for final adjustments. Everything fit together securely, and we didn’t strip anything out. Even though we have a lot of power tools, we decided to stick with the ones provided to avoid over-tightening. After checking out a bunch of beds, we kept coming back to this one because of its sturdy metal floating frame. Her old bed was all particle board and wobbly, but this one has a solid headboard, for leaning back to watch TV or do homework. The hidden storage in the headboard is great, and the LED lights are a nice touch. It looks and is a deal for what you get. Just a heads up, even though it took a while to assemble, you can break it down easily into the bed frame and headboard by removing just six bolts, making it simple to move later. She loves the shelves for organizing her stuff!
