This shoe rack is solid and really easy to put together. It fits a bunch of shoes and boots without any problem, and I didn't even need to secure it to the wall. Though if you've got little ones, it might be a good idea just to be safe. A little tip: when you stack pairs of shoes, place one with the toe facing out, and then put the heel of the second shoe next to it. You’ll be able to fit more shoes that way, as you can see in the photo I took.
