Well-built and comfortable chair.
I've been looking forward to this chair hitting the Australian market for a while now. It’s tough to find anywhere else. The wooden frame feels solid, and the metal spine adds great support. The leather and foam have a nice quality to them, making it quite comfortable. Classic design that looks great and should last for years!

This is the kind of chair I expect from Hawkins Woodshop. Putting it together was a breeze, and I love the real wood accents. It’s really comfortable and feels well made. I’m around 235 pounds and it’s for my 6'-2" height. I’ve seen some comments about squeaking, but that’s just what happens with leather furniture. If you’re not okay with a little squeak, maybe skip it. I’ll get another one when this one wears out in a few years. Usually, my office chairs last around 3 to 4 years. I’d buy this again if it's available. The only downside is that the lumbar support is a bit soft, so I might need an extra pad for lower back support. Overall, it’s a great chair—one of the best I've had!

Great desk chair
I got this desk chair as a Christmas gift for my husband, and it’s been fantastic. He spends a lot of time in it and has even dozed off a couple of times! It's comfortable, the padding is still in great shape, and the leather looks just as nice as when I first bought it. The height is for him at almost 6 feet, and he says it's one of the best chairs he's ever used (and we've tried quite a few!).

Just so you know, it’s not quite a highback chair; it’s about 2-3 inches shorter than that, but honestly, I hardly even notice it after all this time. I’d recommend this chair!

This is, without a doubt, the most comfortable office chair I have ever had! It is also good looking and stylish. This one is not huge, so it fits nicely behind my desk. If you are over 6' tall or weigh more than 250 lbs,, you may want to check out the version for "Big and Tall" as this chair is more suited for an average sized adult. I was worried about putting it together (I am not athletic or mechanically inclined!) but the instructions were quite clear and all necessary screws and tools were labeled and included. It took a little under one hour - which may have been longer than if I had had some help, but I was too impatient to start using it to wait on my husband to get home! Hint: using the upturned empty box it arrived in as a "work table" helped tremendously. Also, be sure to push hard on the casters to secure them in the base before going further. Be sure not to tighten the bolts (as stated in the directions) securing the back to the seat before attaching the arms! You need the wiggle room looser bolts will give you to line up the screws and holes on the arms. The chair was extremely packed well and arrived safely - a day earlier than promised! This chair was also far less expensive (about 50% less) than other "Executive Office Chairs" we found in Office Depot, Haverty's or Staples, and the quality is quite a bit higher. All in all, I am quite happy with this purchase! I plan to use it for quite awhile - at least through retirement!

This is exactly the kind of chair I would expect from Lay-z-boy. Was easy to put together. Nice real wood accents. Very comfortable. Very well built and sturdy. I weigh about 235 and the chair is very comfy and works for my 6'-2" height. Some people complained that the chair squeaks. The leather squeaks like all leather furniture squeaks. If you don't like the sound of squeaking leather, don't buy this super-comfy well-built leather chair. I will buy this again when it wears out in a few years from constant use. Office chairs usually last me about 3 to 4 years before I need another one. Will buy this one again if it's still being offered. The only drawback is the lumbar support is too soft. May need an additional lumbar pad if you have lower-back issues. Great chair! One of the best I've ever owned.

Very nice, comfortable chair
I purchased this chair about a month ago. It arrived on time in undamaged condition, and I found it easy to put together. After putting it together, my assessment was that the chair was attractive and well made. After using it for the last month my assessment of the chair has not changed, except that I can add that I use it often, and it is very comfortable. The chair is relatively heavy for its size, and the leather feels thick. The hardware works as it should. The description of the color is "coffee brown" and I would say that that is about right. It is a dark brown with an even color tone throughout. One other thing to note - and I knew it before I bought it - is that it is not a true highback chair. The back of the chair is 2-3 inches too short for that (and the advertised measurements were accurate and reflect that). If there were a size between mid-back and high back this would be it. That said, after using it for a month I rarely even notice that it is not a highback. I would definitely recommend this chair.
