Just right for the space
This bench fit perfectly in the spot I had in mind, and it was simple to assemble. Just a heads up: be careful when attaching the ends, or you might need to flip them around like I did! LOL My granddaughter is thrilled to use it for her smaller toys, and it has plenty of room for all of them.

Great furniture for the price
I looked around quite a bit before deciding on this piece. I was a bit hesitant to buy furniture without seeing it, but I've been really pleased with this chest, especially for the price. It's entirely made of wood and has a lot of useful space while looking nice too. It might not be enormous, but it actually holds more than I'd expected. I love having the shelf on top for storing gloves and other items. Putting it together was simple enough, especially if you have some experience with furniture assembly. Having an extra set of hands is helpful, but not required. I've had it for about 7 months now, and no problems so far. I would suggest getting this piece. 7/3/17 Edit: After around 4 years of use, it's still holding up great. I'm happy with my purchase. It's packed with stuff but has never let me down. Great furniture for the price—no regrets!

Functional and Stylish
We don’t have a closet near our front entry, so hanging coats and tossing shoes there made for a messy spot that was always in the way. Things would end up on the floor, which was a tripping hazard for us. We picked up this hall tree from Hawkins Woodshop about a year ago, and it has really helped tidy up the area while adding a nice touch to the decor. The color is a bit lighter than what was shown, but it still fits well with what I’d call a "cherry" tone. It came in a big box but was easy to put together; the instructions were straightforward, and it took my partner and me around an hour to assemble it. It's sturdy enough for us to hang up to 8 coats without looking overcrowded. We keep shoes underneath and put boots in the storage bench, with family photos or seasonal decorations on the top shelf. Everything works well and looks good! The only thing I might tweak is making the storage bench seat a bit sturdier. It has held up fine with both my daughter and me sitting on it together, but it feels like it could snap at any moment (though, to be fair, we probably weigh close to 300 lbs combined, and it hasn’t broken). Overall, we’re happy with this hall tree, especially given the price.
