Way better than the factory RV mattress
I've had this mattress for about a month now. Setting it up was a breeze, and I’ve only slept on it for one weekend so far. The first night felt pretty firm, but by the second night, it started to mold to my shape. It’s really comfortable! It’s quite thick and a tad larger than the RV bed, but we managed to fit it in without any issues.

This mattress is just what I needed. It's thick and really comfortable. I got it for my adjustable bed frame and it fits perfectly. It has a nice 10" thickness and keeps its shape well. Whether I’m sleeping on my side or back, it holds me in place. The surface feels solid and uniform, and it offers just the right support for my extra weight with that medium-firm feel. It took only a few hours to fully expand. I added a heated mattress cover and some flannel sheets, and they fit great. Shipping was smooth; it came well packed in a big box, and the delivery driver even had a dolly to bring it up to my apartment since it weighs around 40 pounds. I'm loving this bed, especially after my surgery. Additionally, it looks just like the picture—sharp and well-made. Before I bought it, I called Hawkins Woodshop to confirm it would work with my adjustable frame, and the guy I talked to was helpful and friendly. I really like these gel memory foam mattresses. The 8" one is a bit thinner than I thought it would be, but it provides good cushioning on my adjustable bed frames. Once we opened the plastic, you could hear the air rushing in as they started to expand. Getting that plastic off was a bit of a struggle for my husband and me, but we eventually managed. I went with two extra long twin mattresses since making a king-sized bed is tough for us. They look nice, don’t have any smell, and they fit perfectly with the adjustable beds. We used a king-sized sheet set for now, but I do plan to get some twin EXL sheets later. Just a heads up, make sure you order the right size the first time. I didn’t realize the difference between split king and twin EXL and made a mistake with my first order. I had to switch to the twin EXL after realizing it would be hard to put sheets on the split king. Thankfully, I could return the split king since the box was unopened, but it cost me about $80 in shipping. And now I need to call the company to check on a restocking fee. So, think it through before placing your order!
