I’m really happy with this purchase. Usually, when I go for budget furniture, I end up with something that's pretty flimsy. After reading up on the negative effects of sitting too much, I realized I had to make some changes. Like many people, I spend long days at my desk. I did my homework on stand-up stations and ended up choosing this one from Hawkins Woodshop. It’s manually adjustable, which works just fine for me since I don’t need fancy features. Setting it up was straightforward, and I was able to adjust it to the right height for my work. I can stand for a while and then take breaks to sit when needed. This workstation is solid and sturdy, plus it rolls around easily thanks to the wheels. Assembly was quick enough. I have a 27-inch flat-screen monitor on top and there’s plenty of space for my keyboard and mouse. I didn’t even bother with the slide-out keyboard shelf. My laptop fits perfectly on the shelf below. I’m glad I made this investment because I know it will save me from bigger medical costs later. One piece of advice: it takes time to get used to standing for longer periods if you're not used to it. Be sure to grab a good anti-fatigue mat to help out. I found a great one from Hawkins Woodshop that has really helped my comfort when standing.

I like to work while standing at my computer, and at 6'3", I had to adjust the desk to its highest setting to get the height I need. I think most average to slightly taller folks will find this desk just right. The keyboard drawer is handy; I actually use it for my WACOM drawing tablet while keeping my keyboard on the main surface with my iMac. Plus, there are two shelves underneath for my printer and router, which is really convenient. One suggestion would be to add a back cover to hide the cables, as I prefer my setup facing the room and those cables tend to get a bit messy. I checked out SAFCO's site and saw some other nice workstations but they were way more expensive. Overall, I'm happy with what I paid for this desk.

Great standing desk
I bought mine on Hawkins Woodshop Warehouse and it had a note that the package would be damaged. When I got it, the box was pretty beat up, but I have to give a lot of credit to the people that designed the packing, the desk was perfect. The shipping & packing materials can obviously take a pounding! The desk went together easily for something as complicated as a standing desk. The instructions were clear, all the tools and parts were included, I had it assembled by myself in about an hour. The whole thing is easily adjustable. Others have noted that once you get it together it's hard to re-adjust, and that's definitely true. But it's incredibly strong & solid. Once it's together, it's not going to get loose or come apart. I'm really happy with this desk, I think it's the best I could have gotten, anywhere near this price!

The workstation is delivered in a flat pack. At first glance the assembly instructions look a little complicated but in practice they are easy to follow and the workstation can be assembled quickly and easily. The unit is well built. The table height is infinitely adjustable and a relatively light monitor can be left in place while making the adjustment. However it's not really designed for use by two people of different heights as the adjustment is fiddly. Compared with other standing pc workstations I have looked at I believe this item is good value for money.
