A while back, I made a DIY shelf similar to this one, and it held up well for years. I recently decided to get a bit adventurous and place my wabi-kusa on top of my monitor, but I wasn't as confident in my homemade version anymore, so I purchased this. I had some concerns about whether the arms would fit my monitor's grooves, since that's how my old shelf stayed secure, but they actually don’t align, and it hasn't been an issue at all. The arms can adjust to different angles before you tighten them, so there's no worry about sagging under weight. Plus, the shelf seems really stable and doesn’t look like it’ll slip off my monitor anytime soon. Overall, I’m happy with the design and sturdiness. I’d have preferred metal instead of plastic, but that's just how it goes.

A smart and simple shelf!
I got this TV tray for my home office since I just put my TV up high on the wall. I really didn’t like how the cables were hanging down to the cable box and Roku below. This little shelf has been just the right answer! It's compact and basic, but does the job perfectly! I adjusted the legs to sit on the back of the TV and placed the Dish box and Roku on top. I used short HDMI cables, so now the only visible cord is the power one, which I managed to hide along the side wall. I’m pleased with how this shelf performs! I was a bit worried that the remotes might struggle since the Roku and Dish box are up high, but that hasn't been an issue. Everything works perfectly! This is such an affordable and neat fix for those unsightly wires!

Years ago I constructed a homemade shelf with a very similar design to this, and it's worked great for ages, but recently I decided I wanted to live dangerously and put my wabi-kusa on top of my monitor. I just didn't have that much confidence in my homemade shelf, so I ordered these. I was a little worried the arms wouldn't line up with the groove on the back of my monitors, since that's how my old shelf stayed secure, but they do not line up and it isn't a problem. The arms have different angles they can click into before you tighten them, so there's no risk of them slowly sagging under weight. The shelf also seems reluctant to do anything dodgy like slip off the top of the monitor. Seems like a good design and sturdy shelf. I would have preferred metal over plastic but that's the world we live in.
