Still Going Strong After Years!
I've owned various cutting boards over the years, some have been really good, while others not so much. I have a couple of large, hand-crafted maple boards that I love for bigger tasks. They're holding up nicely with the right care. Recently, I was looking to get some smaller boards since using the big ones for a single tomato or onion felt like overkill. I found these bamboo boards at Hawkins Woodshop for $7.99 and was thrilled to see they qualify for free shipping. I decided to give them a shot, even though I had never tried bamboo before, and I'm impressed with the beautiful grain. They are much lighter than my maple boards, which is a nice change. While I can't speak to their durability yet since I've only had them for a little while, they seem to be made as well as any other cutting boards I've seen. They're for smaller jobs—like the smallest one is great for slicing a single tomato, and the larger one fits a loaf of homemade bread perfectly. I'll still use my larger boards for bigger tasks, but I’m glad I added these to my kitchen. Plus, Hawkins Woodshop delivered them right on time. Fast forward to now: It's been over 10 years since I bought these, and I have had no issues at all. I wash them with dish soap and water, let them dry in a dish drainer, and I've never treated them with oil or anything. They still look almost new and don't splinter or discolor. Just take good care of them, and they'll take care of you!

Great Cutting Boards
These cutting boards are just the right size for daily use, and they rinse off easily with some warm water and dish soap. I like to oil mine with Block Oil every now and then to keep them in good shape. Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase!

Nice bamboo boards
I think these bamboo boards are pretty good, but I realized I need to be careful with the dishwasher settings. I'm used to washing at 65°, and after a few washes, the larger board started to warp, and a small piece came off the handle of the smaller one. I blame the high water temperature for that. I might buy them again but plan to hand wash to see if they last longer since the price is decent (€12.90 for the pair).

Lightweight - great worthwhile product.
I use these boards regularly -- twice a day -- lightweight, washes easily, dries quickly -- can put on draining board and won't tip everything over. Oiled them (olive oil) first, as recommended. Terrific product. Highly recommend.

Four years of use! And Still a Nice Little Set as well as being Lightweight!
I have had cutting boards before, some great, some not-so-great, and currently have two very large ones hand-crafted out of maple which I have had for years and which are wonderful for big jobs. They have held up well over the years with the proper care. I had been considering purchasing more for sometime, particularly in smaller sizes as use one of the large ones for such tasks as slicing a single tomato or onion is a bit of over-kill. I found these in Hawkins Woodshop Warehouse Deals for $7.99 (and eligible for Free SuperSaver Shipping). I placed them on my wish list and ordered them the other day to round-out an order to over $25 to qualify for Free SuperSaver Shipping. I have never had bamboo cutting boards before, but decided to take a chance on them. I must say the grain in them is gorgeous, and I was surprised by the light weight, having used the much heavier maple cutting boards for so long. As I have only had these for a little while I cannot yet comment on their longevity, but will say they seem to be constructed as well as any of the other cutting boards I have seen out there. These are perfect for smaller jobs, and now I don't know why I waited so long to try them. The smallest one is perfect for slicing a single tomato or onion. The larger one is perfect for a loaf of home-made bread. While I will still use my larger cutting boards for the bigger jobs, these are a nice addition to our kitchen ~ and Hawkins Woodshop Warehouse Deals had them here on the date they estimated they would ship them. I am very pleased. Update: April 2014:Four years in and I still have these babies and they are nearly just as nice as they ever were. I have never oiled mine. I wash them with a hot soapy dish rag, rinse and put them in a dish drainer to dry completely before putting away. This past week alone, I have used them to slice/dice/chop tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage, onions, celery and carrots -- so yes, I use them more than once every week and have done so since purchasing them. Update: December 6th, 2023It has been over 10 tears since I purchased these and have had absolutely no problem with them. We still had-wash them with dish detergent and water, place in a dish strainer to dry, never leave them laying in the sink, have never "treated" them with oil or anything else and they still look almost like new, aren't splintering, have never discolored, etc. Take proper care of these and they will take care of you.
