It's definitely more of a light grey than true white, but honestly, who cares at this price? It works perfectly by the fireplace for holding tools. We added coarse sand at the bottom to prevent cracks from tools hitting the porcelain, but a layer of cement would do the trick too. The umbrella stand looks nice and has a good weight to it. I'm pleased I bought this. I've attached a picture of a Chinese garden stool we’ve had for years, which we use as an end table in the same space. It's a darker grey compared to the umbrella stand. Just keep in mind that you probably won't find a true 'white' with these types of items; they're all going to be some shade of light grey.
