Excellent kennel, with some minor issues...
After I posted this review, I found two extra latches that someone *not naming any names* thought weren’t needed. Turns out they were! Fixed the door issue! I’m giving it five stars and I might even get the larger size if our pups grow more than we expect! The kennel looks nice, it's solidly built, and it easily fits my two 45 lb. Dogs who love to cuddle together. Assembly was a breeze, everything lined up perfectly on the first try. Just a heads up, it weighs around 75 pounds when it's all put together, so you definitely want at least two people to move it (we had three). While you could try putting it together on the floor, we opted to cut the top off the box and assembled it on the bed, which worked out great for us. It took two of us to lift it down afterward. The feet help it slide easily. I suggest securing the doors with some twine or long ties before you put it all together. Also, make sure you know which door you want to use and how you want it to open. Now for the not-so-great part...the dogs settled in fine after we rearranged their bedding, but at 4:15 AM, we got woken up by puppy kisses and wagging tails as they squeezed in between us. We noticed that the slide locks didn’t keep the doors snug against the kennel, but when we pulled on them, they seemed secure. I guess all those treat puzzles have taught our pups a thing or two! So, it’s a great crate and looks good in the house, but we're going to tweak the latch today!

This crate came packed up nicely, almost like a fancy handbag, and the assembly instructions were clear, like building with Legos. Make sure to align all the holes before you start screwing things together—I made the mistake of having a panel upside down and had to go back and fix it. I'm really impressed with how well it's built and the design is smart. The white finish looks great, and it's heavy and sturdy. The floor sits level with the bars, so less hair and mess gets trapped inside. The locking mechanism is easy to use, and it has extra spring locks on the door that let it open from either side. I can't see any escape artists getting out of this! I wasn't planning on a long-term crate, but my cocker spaniel had other ideas, so I decided to get a couple and I'm happy I did. The look is great—check out my before and after pictures! My cocker fits comfortably in the medium crate, and my boxer has plenty of space in the XL. They even snuggle together in the XL at night and keep it separate during the day.
