A great furniture crate
It took a bit to arrive, but we were ready for that and planned ahead. We got the 100cm size. It was packaged well as flat pack furniture, and the instruction booklet was easy to follow. I had it put together in about an hour, but it would be faster with a partner. All the parts and screws were labeled, which helped a lot. They even include a screwdriver and tools, so you don’t need anything extra. The crate feels sturdy and has some weight to it, so you might want two people to move it. It looks nice and not like a typical crate, which was important for us. The sliding door works smoothly, and the clamps and locks are spot on. It opens from both sides—rolls open at the front and swings like a door on the left. Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase. It matches the pictures well, though the top is a bit darker brown. I’d say it surpassed my expectations. I would recommend it for the quality.

Stylish and sturdy dog crate

Perfect size with great access
This has been a fantastic buy for us. The kennel is a bit larger than what we expected for our 40-pound dog, which she loves since there's plenty of room for her to stretch out and even lounge with her head hanging out. I added a bath mat inside for some extra comfort, and it fits just right. Cleaning it is a breeze, though it usually doesn’t get too dirty, just a bit of a mess from her toys. The doors are simple to operate, and it looks nice enough to blend in with our home decor. Just a heads up, we don’t use the doors for closing, so I can’t speak to how secure they are if you want to keep her inside. I do suspect she might be able to chew through the bars since they're not made of steel.

Awesome upgrade from regular crates
My little princess loves this penthouse crate! It did take a bit to put together, but it was worth it. The quality of the material is nice, and it looks really good. The sliding door does make some noise, which annoys my skittish dog a bit, but that's just how she is. I wish the latch on the sliding door was a bit stronger, and I think a better locking mechanism would be great. I'm just waiting for the day she figures out how to open it, but at least there's a latch at the bottom to help keep it from sliding all the way open.

Super cage pour mon chien
J'ai pris cette cage-meuble pour que mon chien ait son propre espace tout en gardant mon salon sympa, et je ne suis pas déçu. Great looking crate
I wanted a dog crate that looked like furniture as I would be keeping it in my dining room/living room area. Initially I wanted one with drawers, but it turned out that I was going to get to pick up my rescue dog about a week earlier than I thought, so I ordered this as it was scheduled to come the day before I was going to pick up my dog and none of the crates with drawers I was looking at would come in time. Unfortunately, it then got delayed by several days (can't fault the product for that, maybe Hawkins Woodshop). So, I do wish I just ordered one with the drawer even though I wouldn't get it before I got my dog since that was the case with this anyway. I "solved" the organization issue that caused by buying a couple baskets that I put on top of the crate to hold my dog's things, they just aren't out of sight when there are guests as I had wanted. Still, it looks like furniture, and not just a cage. I have friends or family over nearly every week. I've had multiple guests comment on how good it looks, and some who are dog owners are considering buying this crate, or one like it, after seeing mine. Be careful when putting it together. The particle board isn't as strong/thick as I expected. When putting one of the pegs into its hole, I used a hammer (like I've found helpful when putting ikea furniture together) and it pushed it all the way through, even though I just used a gentle tap with the hammer. I took the piece of particle board it ripped out and repaired it as best I could with Gorilla Glue. I thought it was going to look terrible, but it is hidden enough that, even when you look for it, it is hard to tell I needed to do a repair. Still, if you are careful and just insert the pegs into their holes with your fingers you will be fine (again, do not use a hammer). I have only had it for about 2 months, so it is hard to judge durability yet, but it seems to be fine. It works as it should and keeps my dog in when he needs to be in his crate (and he will try to get out). I like that there are two doors. I feed him in his crate, so it is nice to have one for him to enter and exit the crate, and another for his food bowl.
