Solid kennel with a few tweaks needed...
After putting this together, I noticed there were a couple of extra latches that I think were really necessary. But with those added, the door issue is fixed! Overall, I’m giving it five stars and might get the bigger size if my pups grow as big as we anticipate! It looks nice, has sturdy construction, and is spacious enough for my two 45 lb. Dogs who love to snuggle up together. Assembly was straightforward, and everything fit well on the first try. Just a heads up, it weighs around 75 pounds when put together, so you’ll want two people (we had three!). You could try to assemble it on the floor, but since we’re not great at getting up from there, we opened the box and built it on the bed instead. That worked out nicely. Once it was done, it took two of us to lift it down. The sliding feet work well, but I recommend using some twine or ties to keep the doors from swinging open while you’re assembling it. It’s also good to decide ahead of time how you want the doors to open. Now for the not-so-great part: while my pups went in without issue and settled in fine, at 4:15 AM, I woke up to puppy kisses and wagging tails on the bed. We noticed that the slide locks didn’t hold the doors tightly, even though they looked secure when we put it together. Clearly, those treat puzzles taught them a few tricks! So, it’s a great crate and looks good in my home, but we'll be making some latch adjustments today!
