Some spaces only give you six inches to work with. A hallway you still have to walk down, the gap behind a sofa that floats in the middle of the room, the stretch of wall by the front door where shoes pile up. At 5.9 inches wide, 39.4 inches long, and 31.5 inches high, this console fits those places and still gives you a surface for keys, a lamp, a plant, and the mail.
The reason to pick it over a plain skinny table is the power strip built into it. Two outlets, one USB port, and one Type C port sit right there at the table, running off a 4.9 foot cord. Set it behind the couch and it becomes the charging station for the room. Put it in an entryway and phones charge where you drop them instead of migrating to the kitchen counter overnight.
The top is particleboard in a rustic, warm wood grain, set on a reinforced matte black metal frame. The frame holds up to 44 pounds without bending, which covers a table lamp, a stack of books, a speaker, and whatever else accumulates. An anti tip device is included, and on a table this narrow you should install it. Anything 5.9 inches deep and 31.5 inches tall wants to be anchored, especially in a house with kids or a dog that takes corners fast.
Assembly is the straightforward kind. The parts arrive numbered and the instruction manual is illustrated, so there is no guesswork about which piece goes where, and it is ready for storage or display as soon as it is standing.
One thing to check before ordering: measure the run of wall, and note that at 31.5 inches high this sits taller than most sofa backs, which is what you want if the table is meant to be reachable from the seat.
