Super sturdy, functional, and doubles as a great craft table
This crate is a total 5 stars. It is rock-solid, well designed, and looks so much nicer in the room than a standard wire crate. Most importantly, it’s built with pet safety in mind. The spacing between the bars is well thought out so there's no risk of a head getting stuck, which gives great peace of mind. Putting it together took me a couple of hours doing it on my own, but it is totally doable if you take your time. The instructions were crystal clear, and the included tools were a lifesaver. Every single panel, nut, and bolt was labeled and separated properly, which made figuring out what went where a breeze. It's also made with fsc-certified wood, which is a great bonus if you're environmentally conscious because it means the wood is sustainably and responsibly sourced. I actually use this as a combination pet crate and craft island in my workspace. Standing at 5'5", it sits at the absolute perfect height to work at. The top is massive and easily holds a large 24x36 cutting mat with room to spare. My only tiny critique is that the metal doors can make a little bit of a jangling sound when entering the crate or if your floors have a slight bounce to them. It's definitely not a dealbreaker, though! Adding a few cheap stick-on felt pads or tiny silicone cabinet bumpers along the frame where the metal touches would cushion the contact and probably make it completely silent. I might not even mess with any of that, but seriously overall, it's super sturdy, functional, safe, and a great piece of furniture. I'd say it's a good value for it being as high quality as it is.

Stylish and Sturdy Dog Crate Furniture.
The overall build quality is solid. The wood panels and metal frame feel sturdy, and once assembled, the crate doesn't wobble. The sliding barn door is smooth and convenient, especially since it doesn't require extra clearance like a swinging door. Assembly took quite a while because many of the parts are large and fairly heavy. I definitely recommend having a second person help move and hold some of the panels during assembly. That said, the instruction manual is well organized with clear diagrams and labeled parts, so the process itself wasn't difficult—just time-consuming. One detail I really like is the cute bone-shaped nameplate attached securely to the front of the crate. It's a small touch, but it adds personality, and I enjoyed writing my dog's name on it. The raised bottom is another practical feature since it makes cleaning underneath much easier without having to move the entire crate. The top surface is also sturdy enough to use as a side table, which helps save space.
