4-Tier Narrow Bookshelf, Solid Wood Pillars, Industrial Brown

Small rooms punish bad furniture. A shelf six inches too deep turns a walkway into an obstacle course, and a wobbly one becomes something you stop trusting with anything breakable. This bookshelf was drawn for exactly that problem: 10.63 inches deep, 14.96 inches wide, and 41.34 inches tall, four tiers of usable storage stacked into a footprint that stays out of the way.

The build is what separates it from the flat-pack crowd. The pillars are solid wood rather than cheap square steel tube, and they run about 1.5 times wider than the columns on a typical small storage shelf. That extra width does two things. It gives the frame a planted, substantial feel, and it makes the joints easier to line up during assembly. Adjustable feet at the base take the wobble out of an uneven floor and protect the finish underneath. An anti-tip device secures the unit to the wall, which matters in a house with kids or a cat that treats every shelf as a ladder.

At 11.9 pounds it is light enough to reposition on your own, so trying it in three spots before committing costs you nothing. The industrial retro brown finish reads warm rather than corporate, and the open design means it works as a display piece as easily as a bookshelf. People put it in a study beside a reading chair, in a kitchen for cookbooks and jars, in an office for binders and a plant, in a bedroom, or in a living room corner that never had a good use. Cleaning is a damp rag and thirty seconds, since there are no doors or panels to work around.

Assembly runs about 20 minutes. The package includes a detailed graphic manual along with spare parts and accessories, and no special tools are required. This product is manufactured overseas and imported using USA suppliers. For locally, built-to-order furniture please see my collection here or text 916-692-0554 for a free quote.
