Sitting all day is hard on a back, and most people who switch to a sit stand setup wish they had done it sooner. The lift here is electric and travels at 0.8 inches per second, quick enough that you actually change position instead of talking yourself out of it. Height runs from 27.5 inches at the low end to 45.7 inches at the top, which covers seated work through standing work for most adults.
Three memory presets are the feature that makes daily use stick. Save a sitting height, a standing height, and one more for whatever else you do at the desk, then press a button. The settings survive a power cycle, so unplugging the desk to move it does not wipe your positions and send you back to fiddling with the controller.
Noise is the usual complaint with cheap lift desks. This motor runs under 48 decibels, quiet enough for a shared room or a call you would rather not apologize during. The frame carries an official rating of 132 pounds, and real-world testing has held loads up to 180 pounds, so a couple of monitors, a tower, and the usual pile of paperwork are not a concern. The motor has been run through 20,000 cycles in testing.
An anti collision system reverses the desk automatically if it meets a chair arm, a filing cabinet, or a windowsill on the way up or down. Two headphone hooks come included to keep a headset off the work surface. The desktop holds one monitor and a laptop, and the desk is offered in white, black, and rustic finishes. Assembly uses pre drilled holes, so the hardware lines up the first time instead of after you widen something with a drill.
