This piece is solid once you put it together. It doesn't shake or wobble, and the all-metal legs give it a lot of support. Everything connects well when you tighten the connectors. I worried a bit about the top getting scratched, but honestly, it seems pretty tough—you'd have to really try to damage it with something sharp. Daily use shouldn't be an issue at all. The only downside is the two seams on the top since it comes in pieces, but that's just part of getting it at a lower price compared to solid options. I picked this because it fits my standing desk just right. Keep in mind that the leg measurements are different from the edges, especially since I have cord cutouts to consider. Height wasn't a huge factor for me, but I appreciate that it's taller than some other risers. I can fit my laptop and a pen holder underneath without making a mess on top. Overall, it’s a great deal for what I needed.

Well-built, sturdy, functional
Very solid piece when assembled. No shaking or moving around. Legs are all metal and they provide proper support. Pieces connect firmly when all connectors are tight. I was a little concerned that the top might be prone to scratching, but now that I’ve felt it, I think you’d have to be trying to carve it up with a knife to do damage. Day to day use shouldn’t pose any issues. Very scratch resistant. The only negative at all is that since it’s in pieces, you have two seams running through the top. But that’s why the price is less than the comparable solid pieces. It’s the trade off for this price point. I chose this over others because of the price and because it fit my standing desk perfectly. (Pay attention that the legs measure at a different place than the length of the edge. I have cutouts in my desktop for cords and the leg placement had to be considered because of that.) This fit great on my standing desk. Since I have a standing desk, height wasn’t terribly important although I like that it’s taller than other risers I looked at so I can put a cup of pens, a laptop, and a dock underneath without cluttering the top. For the price, it’s good quality and a great buy. Functional for my needs.
