Definitely worth the investment
I found this piece easy to put together, and it fits perfectly in my space. It's sturdy, and I love that the drawers slide on metal tracks instead of particle board. I spent some time reading up on it because I wanted to avoid having drawers that wear out. They open smoothly, and it looks fantastic—worth what I paid. This is my third set from Hawkins Woodshop, and I have to say, I’m impressed and won’t be looking at any other brands. I have two white five-drawer units and one black seven-drawer. They're exactly what I needed! One holds my DIY nail supplies, the black one stores my jewelry making materials, and the third one helps balance out a family desk without drawers. I was a bit unsure after reading some mixed reviews, but the positive feedback convinced me to try it. I waited for sales each time I bought one, and the quality has been on point!

Great kit for the price!
I wasn't expecting much for what I paid, but I was really impressed. When I opened the box, my wife had a good laugh at the number of pieces, but putting it together wasn’t so bad! I started with the drawers first, and it was a smart move since it helped me see how everything was designed. The instructions are some of the best I've seen for kits in this price range—well labeled and clear diagrams. Just take your time and go over the manual a few times. Overall, it came together nicely. A couple of tips: - When screwing in the dowels, make sure they're square to the panels. If they aren’t, just unscrew and adjust them. I had only two that were a bit off. - The screws for the slides don't have holes, so I made tiny pilot holes with a small nail, which made it much easier. - Some of the screws to attach the slides to the drawers didn't line up perfectly, but taking it slow worked well for me. I was going to drill those out, but no need in the end as it all went smoothly. - I didn’t use the wheels since it’s on my workbench, and I’m not a huge fan of the eccentric wheels—they might loosen over time, but for now, they’re holding strong. - liked that they included extra parts, and they even gave me a screwdriver, though I found it a bit small. All in all, this is a nice kit for the price!
