Great for smaller spaces. The instructions were actually clear and easy to follow—way better than most stuff I've put together. It's solid and well made. I had guests over, so I pulled out the extra leaf and extended it, then put it back when they left. The table slides apart without any fuss. The chairs are comfy too. My only wish is that the top had some kind of protective finish on it because I'm always worried about scratches now. But overall I'm really happy with it and would recommend to anyone looking for something like this.

This table isn’t gonna win any awards or impress anyone's mom, but hey, it looks exactly like the pictures so you know what you’re getting. Just to address a couple of the not-so-great reviews that nearly made me skip this one: one person mentioned it gets smudges from hands that won't come off. Yeah, it can smudge, but honestly, a bit of rubbing alcohol cleared that up for me. Someone else thought it looked like a camper table. If you've got the cash for a fancy table, go for it! But if you just want something decent to sit at for game days (which, let’s be real, you need friends for), then this one does the job fine. It won’t come with friends, though; that’s on you! It may chip or get dented in shipping, which might explain the returns. After putting mine together, it wouldn’t close right until I gave it a little twist at each end to even it out. I'd suggest grabbing a buddy for assembly. I did it solo (still working on the friend front). It’s simple to put together, but if you’re crafty, using a hacksaw on the L part of the Allen wrench and using a cordless drill can save you some effort. The chairs are pretty cushy and their backs would even get a thumbs up from Mary Poppins for posture! Just get some pads for those chairs. But for what you pay? I’d say it’s worth it.

Comfortable and easy to put together
I really like this table! It took me about 4 hours to put it together by myself while taking care of my one-year-old, so it wasn't too challenging. If you have someone to help, I bet it would be even faster. I understand why some folks think the chairs might be a bit low, but they’re comfortable enough for me at 5'7. The staples on the top of the chairs give it a bit of a cheap look, but I can easily add a nice cover to fix that. This set works great for a small to medium dining area and is a good find if you need something quickly.
