Good desk
Having finished the assembly and used the desk for a few days I have a few comments to make, mostly positive. First, while this is described as white and black it is really cream or light beige and black. I was expecting a sheet-of-paper white and was surprised to see the beige overtone. The finish is actually smooth if you run a fingernail across it, but it looks like its been painted with a brush and some of the wood underneath is showing through. The black top is a very flat black, also smooth, but it looks like stained plywood or real wood - it has knots in it and grain in the wood. Second, like another flat pack desk that I've used, the drawers are not very deep compared to the depth of the whole desk. The only open about seven inches so you always have to lower your head to look all the way to the back of the drawer. The drawers are about 11 1/4 inches deep, so standard paper doesn't fit well unless you fit it in sideways (the drawers are 12 inches wide). Hanging file folders can only be arranged from front to backThe corners of the desk are 90 degree and can be rather pointy. There are many good points about this desk. The quality of the boards seem very good. They appear to be made of a small chip osb rather than mdf and will probably be stronger because of that. The top has a reinforcement around the entire edge, so the center probably will not sag over time. The reinforcement looks like real wood, not osb. The finish seems like the thermo-foil that is on my kitchen cabinets. If it is the same thing, it will hold up very well over time and be easy to clean and hard to scratch. The quality of the cuts was very good with very little sawdust clogging up the grooves or holes. There was enough of the hardware, all clearly marked, with a few spares of everything. The box arrived with a big ding in one corner and a small tear in one spot, but everything inside was unharmed. There were big rubber bumpers in each corner which probably kept things in good shape. The overall product looks pretty good once complete. Its also very usable. I like having six drawers and find its better than two or three big drawers where things are hard to find. The keyboard tray gives you enough height to clear your legs (I'm 6 feet tall) and still use the mouse if the tray is under the desktop. I did take off two pieces of trim and that made the opening bigger, and that helped a lot. The monitor stand effectively makes the desk six inches deeper because of the extra level. The drawers all open and close smoothly. A few comments on the assembly- it took a full 20 minutes to unpack and lay all the pieces on the floor. I am used to putting these things together (I've done six items like this now) but it still took me over five hours to put it together working by myself. Nothing is real difficult, but there are a lot of parts to put together. The directions were pretty good with the exception of installing the slide rails for the keyboard tray. You have to slide the rails just right to put the screws and the picture doesn't really show that very well. Overall its a pretty good product and I would buy from this company again. But, like all things we buy sight unseen, sometimes the actual product differs from what the description indicates. I've attached a few pictures that might be helpful.

Pretty Good Desk!
Came as described. It was easy to put together as long as you follow the instructions. Took a little bit but that was to be expected being a desk you need to put together! It feels pretty sturdy to me. The drawers smoothly pull out. The color is exactly as pictured. I really like this desk!

Pretty, Sturdy, Functional- the file drawer
It took a while to put together - thank goodness for my son-in-law! But - it looks great. However, if you want to use the file drawer, good luck with that. The slots are too far apart in mine to hang standard hanging file folders. For that reason I give it a 3.
