Pay attention to orientation of instruction pictures to ease process.
You will probably need help if you aren’t able to get on floor and maneuver around. If you can, and don’t try to rush, then this desk goes together quite well. I’m a 74 y/o petite woman and I assembled this without any help except to lift and position top onto base. It is quite difficult to maneuver into drop down position by yourself-I tried for quite awhile but couldn’t get it exactly right to drop into place. It only took a minute to position with help. I did this over 3 days, but I was very careful and deliberate. My hand strength is not like it was years ago so that’s the reason it took 3 days. Overall, I’m very pleased with the results. Everything fits perfectly. A mild negative is that the drawers don’t open fully- only about 1/2 way. File drawer does open fully, but only has 2 file rails. Not sure how that will work. It looks nice, is sturdy, and overall I’m delighted and proud of myself.
