I'm really happy with this desk and would recommend it. I use it in my DIY nail studio at home, and it's the fit for my space and workflow. The L-shape is great—it gives me a lot of surface area to work on while still fitting nicely in the room without feeling too big. I was able to keep another desk in the room that I also got from Hawkins Woodshop. I have enough space for my nail lamp, tools, products, and lighting, plus I still have room to move around. The desk feels sturdy and well-built, which is important since I work on it almost daily. After putting it together, it hasn’t wobbled at all and feels solid. I like the two built-in drawers; they’re for keeping smaller tools organized and within easy reach. One of the best features is the power strip that you can install directly into the desk. It keeps the cords tidy and makes it easy to plug in my lamps, drills, and other electronics without having to deal with extension cords everywhere. Assembly was a breeze. The instructions were easy to follow, all the parts were labelled, and I put it together without any trouble. Overall, this desk is not just functional but also stylish and well-designed. Great Desk, Assembly Not So Much
I never imagined swapping out our small desk for this larger one would actually give us more room, but it did! We had a cramped desk with a tiny keyboard tray and hardly any space, which made it tough for both me and my husband to work at the same time. We really liked the design of this desk, especially since we usually don’t need to use it together. The size seemed intimidating at first, but it’s been a great fit in our small office. Setting it up took quite a few hours since everything came unassembled, and while the picture instructions were helpful, I would have preferred some written steps too. It was a bit of a pain to figure out which parts were which, and we ended up putting one piece on backward. Thankfully, nothing was missing, so we didn't have to make any trips to the store. We chose not to use the riser since we didn’t need it. Overall, I like the desk, but if I could do it over, I would hire someone to help with the assembly.
