Happy with the mattress!

We got the mattress and it’s pretty much what we expected. It’s firmer than a usual spring mattress but softer than some we've tried. We thought about spending more elsewhere, but we're glad we went with this one. We also grabbed the Zinus frame, and it went together easily and has been holding up well. Packaging was straightforward. The box wasn’t too heavy, so it was easy to get everything out and into our room. We accidentally made a small hole in the plastic while unpacking, but we still got it set up before it started expanding too much. We slept on it the first night after letting it expand for about 6-7 hours. It was about 11 inches then, but now it’s around 12 inches. We put some cardboard under it to prevent any foam from leaking through the frame, and that’s been working fine. As for the smell, my wife thought it smelled like Peanut M&M's at first! It was a bit of a weird smell, but not bad at all. Now, after a week, there’s no smell. We chose this mattress because it was supposed to be softer, and we are pretty happy with that decision. We've both found it comfortable after getting used to it. We didn’t do the wine glass test, but we can’t really feel each other getting in and out of bed, which is nice. If you sleep too close to the edges, the support isn’t as great, but I sleep near the edge and it’s fine for me. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. We saved a ton of money, and shipping from Hawkins Woodshop was quick and easy!

BUY this mattress if your hips hurt

We've had our two mattresses for over 16 months now, and they’re still fantastic. Even though we're heavier people, there's no odd sinking or wear spots.
