Much Better Than I Thought
I got my new mattress from Hawkins Woodshop today, and I’m surprised at how nice it is. It took about 6 hours to fully expand, but I had to let it air out due to a strong smell. I did lie on it for a bit, and I can honestly say it’s really comfortable. I was worried coming from an airbed that a foam mattress would be hard, but this one isn’t like that at all. It feels good and supportive without being too hard or too soft. It hugs my body nicely without feeling like I’m sinking too much. For anyone with allergies, I'd recommend giving it some time to air out before sleeping on it because the chemical smell gets stronger as it expands. I’ve had bad luck with airbeds, so I’m okay waiting for this mattress to air out a bit. I have chronic pain from fibromyalgia and arthritis, and I think this mattress is going to help a lot. The only downside was the shipping box was in pretty rough shape when it arrived, which was a bit concerning. But luckily, the mattress wasn’t damaged, just the packaging. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase and relieved I made the decision to buy it.

I don’t know how we ever slept on anything else after getting this mattress. We’ve tried all types over the years, but memory foam is the best for my back pain and comfort. I received my Queen Bed from Hawkins Woodshop today, and I’m honestly pretty impressed so far. I even uploaded a pic so others can see what the size looks like. It took about 6 hours to reach its full 8" height, but I can't sleep on it yet because of the strong chemical smell. I did lay on it to check it out, and it feels way better than I expected. I’ve been on an airbed for 2 years, so I thought a foam mattress would feel like a rock, but this one isn’t like that at all. It’s actually nice.
