This is genuinely a product worth every cent. For context, I have…7y 50lb Belgian Malinois x German Shepherd and 3y 25lb mini poodle. This crate setup fits both of them nicely. Now to the product itself. The metal materials used (bars, screws, etc.) are durable and coated with anti rust. The wood is obviously a poly material, however, it’s coated on all sides and finished very nicely. If your dog spilled some water on the surface it would be just fine. This feels like something you’d spend 3x the amount on at Ashley Furniture or something. Now, with that said, my dogs are 100% crate trained. They are calm adults who easily kennel up when I ask. If your dog is an unruly and they are not crate trained, this is not where to start. Not even just for this product, any furniture crate in general is not designed for dogs who test the limits of containment. Start with a plastic airline travel kennel and work your way up. Otherwise, if your dog is crate trained and you are looking to get rid of that hideous black wire thing, this is 100% where to go. For ease of build, just have common sense and patience. Follow the directions, count the holes, check your work- and even if you don’t everything has a number/letter. It’s idiot proof in my opinion. I’m a 20 something chick and it took me about 2hr to build. That’s with checking my work, taking breaks for snacks, and occasionally staring at my tv show playing. A rushed job is a bust job, take your time. Overall, I’d buy this again for sure. I’d also recommend to any of my clients looking for something similar.
