I want to start by saying that putting this desk together took us over six hours. My wife thinks it would be easier for one person, but I found it pretty time-consuming. I’m not old by any means! That said, the desk itself is really well-made, heavy-duty, and worth the money. I’m happy I decided to buy it and would suggest it to anyone, as long as you have someone to help and a good space to work in. If your area is small, it can get a bit tricky, but it’s manageable. I usually shop around Sacramento, and office desks there cost a fortune, plus they don't match the quality of this one. However, I recently had a problem when I was moving my desk; the left side just didn’t budge and everything on top fell. I've only had it for a few months, and it’s disappointing that it didn’t hold up. Now I’ve got quite a mess to clean up. I liked the desk, but I can’t recommend it after this experience.

Great Desk Overall
I've been really happy with this desk! I went for the 63" version with the top shelf and drawers in black. It's sturdy and well-built. The height adjustment motor works smoothly, and putting it together was pretty easy with clear instructions. The only tricky part was a few screws that would have been better as Phillips head instead of using the Allen wrench, but I managed to do it by myself in about an hour. The desk feels solid, all the holes lined up well, and it’s heavy enough that it won't tip over. The motor raises and lowers quickly, and it’s smooth enough that things don’t slide off. My only complaint is that I wish the power cord was longer because it’s only about 4 feet, so I had to plug it into a power strip to reach the wall. Luckily, I have one with surge protection. I also wish there was more than one grommet hole on the top, but the cable management box underneath is decent.

Exceeded my expectations for quality!
I absolutely LOVE this desk! It's sturdy, even at the maximum height. One thing I noticed is that Hawkins Woodshop suggested a single mount for my dual monitors, which I ordered to avoid using regular stands. However, the mount didn’t fit well with the solid back and shallow depth of the upper desk. I ended up having to drill a hole in the desktop to make it work, but the solid wood material handles the weight perfectly. I was a bit unsure about the soft-sided drawers, but they turned out to be more durable than I thought, and I like them. I even bought a matching side table! The upper desk has great edges that prevent items from sliding off, even on the top shelf. Just a heads up: if you’re setting up monitors, plan where to place them first. I thought I could use the corner, but I moved them to the longer side because of their size. I drilled a hole for the monitor mount on the upper shelf, but the sturdy construction is holding everything well—no wobbling at all. The wood finish (I went with brown) is gorgeous, too. To me, this desk feels premium for the price. Setting it up was easy, and I’m confident it will last a long time. I checked out pricier options with a similar look, and I’m glad I went with this one.

Great desk for the price!
I have to say this desk is solid and well-built. The motor is quiet, and the height adjustment works great. I'm super happy with all the little extras too, like the adjustable cup holder, hook, and cable organizer. Honestly, it feels way nicer than what I expected for the price. I'd get this desk again!

Desk is quite large, be ready for that!
It does take some time to put together, but it's not difficult. You can handle most of it solo, though you might need an extra hand when flipping it over. It raises quietly, but getting used to the mechanism took me a couple of tries. Overall, it feels solid and works great. I contacted support once and they were really helpful!

I got this desk for a great price, and it showed up just a few days after I ordered it. The packaging was top-notch; everything was neatly organized in one box and clearly labeled. I was really impressed with how well everything was protected—thick padding better than the usual foam, and sturdy cardboard corner spacers to keep the wood safe during shipping. Big shoutout to the delivery guy for handling that heavy box like a pro. Putting it together was easy thanks to the clear instructions, which had helpful tips for any tricky spots. They recommend having two people for the setup, but I managed to do it solo. Just be careful when flipping the table; it's a bit heavy. I appreciated the metal plates used to attach the tabletop, and the braces for the hutch are metal too, not plastic. The extra metal plates on the ends of the desk weren't required, but they give it a nice finishing touch. It shows there's great attention to detail here. Functionally, the desk raises and lowers at a good speed. No child lock feature like my old desk, but I think I’m fine without it. The drawers are well-made with sturdy cloth material and metal handles, and the whole desk feels solid. It’s a good size, and even though it’s sturdy, it’s not too cumbersome to move if you need to. Overall, I'm pleased with this desk. The quality, packaging, and overall look exceeded my expectations.

Great Size and Sturdy Build
Just a heads up, this desk is pretty heavy, so I needed a hand truck to move it inside. Assembly took a bit because of the many pieces, but the instructions were clear. The pilot holes made it easier to screw things in, and the allen key helped with the rest. Just make sure the pieces are oriented correctly since the hex screws are a bit fragile and can strip easily. The desk can lift and lower quietly from a regular height to my chest level—I'm 6'—and it's currently supporting four monitors plus a large TV. The build quality is pretty solid, though the wood is still press-board, which sometimes tends to crack. For the price, I wish they’d used real wood to boost the overall quality. If you’re concerned about the optional shelving, it's sturdy, with metal and wooden braces reinforcing it. I've been around 250 lbs., and I can confidently use the weaker parts to stand without fear of breakage, though I found sitting more comfortable after a while. It took me a while to put together, mostly because I was in a small space and recovering from bronchitis. I’d guess it could be done in about an hour if you have a little help, since balancing pieces while screwing can be tricky alone. Overall, I'm pleased with this desk. It feels well-designed and better than the usual press-board you see in DIY furniture. I’d recommend it if you want something durable with nice added features like cloth drawers and a leather magazine sling. Just a bit labor-intensive, but worth it!

Great desk and solid value
I got this desk for a good price and it showed up in just a few days after I ordered. The packaging was impressive, with everything neatly arranged in a sturdy box. All the pieces were clearly labeled and protected really well with thick padding, way better than typical styrofoam. The delivery person handled the heavy box quite easily, which was nice to see. Putting it together was straightforward— the instructions were clear and had some useful tips. They recommend having two people for the setup, but I managed to do it alone. Just a heads up, flipping the table can be a bit tricky since it’s heavy. I liked that they used metal plates to join the tabletop and metal braces for the hutch, instead of plastic. The extra metal plates at the ends weren’t necessary but gave the desk a polished look, showing real attention to detail. As for how it works, the desk adjusts smoothly, and while there’s no child lock like my last one, I don’t think it needs one. The drawers are sturdy and covered in a nice cloth material, and the handles are metal which adds a nice touch. The desk feels solid and is a good size, so it’s manageable to move if needed. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase! The quality and look of the desk exceeded my expectations.
