I purchased the black wood model. It is very nice to look ;not too modern for those with older homes like us. It holds our 65 inch tv and leaves room on either side for a game system or decor for holiday. I like the storage I also like that is all enclosed ( except for center ) so dogs can’t be nosey when they are alone lol. It seems sturdy pressboard type heavy wood. There are many pieces and screws etc. We spread it all out and did an inventory then began putting together. They have you put it together upside down so please be aware you will be flipping carefully after about 3/4 of project in done. Took us 2 - 21/2 hrs with stopping for a minute here or there. Definitely a 2 man job unless you are strong enough to flip it alone. Doors went on smooth we put the hinges on first a lil backwards but this made sure it was all perfect. We are very pleased with the function it heats well and I love the fireplace without heat ability.. Wonderful idea. The led light up cabinets the kids like lol but could be useful at times I am sure. I am having trouble getting my flames to go as high as the photos in the ad.. But still getting used to it. Has a remote control and buttons on the fireplace itself. So simple and beautiful. It was a bit overpriced I feel but a stand for a large tv usually is and when you add the fireplace I suppose it is justified. We are very pleased and I have a feeling your family will b also. Please be aware : one piece came cracked a drawer piece that didn’t not effect the strength or durability of the unit or its look so we just went with it. After 2 deliveries who wanted to return that heavy stuff for a crack I thought about it. It assumed it was from shipping. Since then my dog put a small notch type mark on the top of unit near edge.( He was excited about the movie that was on and went in for a closer look. ) so it can be “chipped”. But we are still very happy. (Funny note the dogs will sleep in front of fire even if heat is off.. It’s cute )
