Very lovely unit. Went together fairly easily, did it all by myself in about 2 hours. Only issue was the stupid little corner things that were supposed to be nailed in from behind to hold the backboards in place?!?! Those are so dumb, I couldn't figure out how they were supposed to fit, or why they were needed, and the instructions were no help on that score, so I left them off. Everything else was perfect and instructions were fine. Oh, also, the front glass plate of the fireplace wouldn't go back in place properly unless I left the top lid a little loose. The instructions were quite unclear on that. But again, that's almost a good thing, because once the glass is in place and then the top lid is secured, that front glass is not going anywhere!! Which is good!! I love the legs in the middle, it's good to have confidence this unit won't "sag" over time like so much cheap furniture tends to. Middle legs have adjustable feet, the outer legs do not. Heater works fine, remote control works fine. It seems that the heater, when it reaches target temp, shuts off permanently, rather than automatically coming back on when the temperature dips. But I can live with that, it's a pretty good safety feature so you don't accidentally leave it on. Naturally since the temp sensor is so close to the heater, it's not very accurate, you generally need to set the target thermostat temp several degrees higher than your actual desired temp. It's exactly as good-looking as the pictures. The movement of the "flames" is nice, very hypnotizing. Unit arrived in flawless condition and looks really sharp. Would buy again in a heartbeat!
