I was worried about that increasing the risk of damage in transit, but both boxes were sturdy and well-packed with foam and corner protectors. The packaging was, so they get an A+ for that. I had heard some concerns about unclear assembly instructions, which made me hesitate a little, but I found the directions to be clear. It was easy to tell where each part went, and they included the necessary allen wrenches, though you'll need to have your own screwdriver. From unboxing to fully assembled, it took me about an hour, and setting everything up took another hour. The standing feature works great! The instructions are clear, and the design makes it impossible to mess up the setup.- It's sturdy; my monitor arms have zero wobble, even with my ultrawide one!- The motor is quiet enough for late-night use without waking my wife.- The desk surface feels high-quality and seems to have a nice finish.- The thickness looks to be around 1.25 to 1.5 inches; I’m estimating since I don't have a tape measure right now.Cons:- The desk does show smudges, so if that bugs you, just keep a cloth handy to wipe it down, but it cleans up easily.- The corners are rounded, but the edges are a bit sharp, so watch out for bumping your head!Overall, you won't find desks like this in this price range. First off, I have to say this adjustable desk is fantastic. I went with the 30 x 86 size, and it ships in two packages. It took me about an hour to put together, and the top comes in two or three pieces depending on the size, but it was easy to assemble. The surface feels solid, and I noticed that the rim has an extra 1/2 inch of wood all around, making it a full inch thick at the edges. The interior part is a half inch thick, and everything fits together nicely. Now, about the legs—wow, they’re heavy-duty. They feel solid, and the motor operates quietly. It rises and lowers smoothly without any stuttering. Attaching the legs to the tabletop was a breeze. I can confidently say this table doesn’t wobble at all—there's no movement front to back or side to side. If you’re having wobbling issues, try adjusting the feet to level it out, but honestly, this table is too sturdy to shake. It’s a solid, heavy-duty desk that was quite simple to put together.
