I was a bit hesitant to order furniture from Hawkins Woodshop since I usually avoid buying bigger pieces online, but the reviews were solid. I’m really glad I gave it a shot! It’s easier to assemble with two people, especially when you have to lift it up. The assembly process went smoothly overall, although the little wood screws were somewhat tricky. Everything came well packed and nothing was damaged in transit. I’ve set it to three heights: sitting, standing, and even standing while on a treadmill. Happy with my purchase!

I picked up the basic L-shaped desk for $300, and I couldn’t be happier with it. It raises and lowers easily, offering plenty of workspace for my setup, which includes two monitors—one 32" and a 42"—and I still have room for more. The cable management is in a great spot, but I suggest using a surge protector with a long cord for better setup since it can get a bit tight when you raise it. I'm 5'9", so I don't need to raise it all the way up, but it's a great feature. The desk looks nice with its carbon fiber finish, and while the wood isn’t top-notch, it’s still just fine, especially for the price—much better than some of the $500-600 options I saw at Costco. The cup-holder is seriously amazing; I never thought I'd care about that, but the design and placement are just. If Hawkins Woodshop stops making this desk, I'd probably get another just for that cup-holder! The headphone holder is useful too; I can fit my Meta Quest 3 and my Arctis Pro Wireless nicely on it. As for putting it together, the instructions could use some work. I had to double-check a few parts, and one of the lifting cylinders was a bit tricky to install, but I managed. I'd recommend having a buddy help at the start for balance, and use a hand screwdriver to avoid damaging the screws with power tools. A little tap with a hammer helped get that cylinder in place. Overall, I love this desk and that cup-holder deserves 5 stars on its own!

It took me around 2 hours to put together, but the instructions were clear and easy to follow. There’s also a helpful video guide. The desk feels sturdy and functions great. I would definitely recommend this brand; I didn’t run into any problems. There’s a slight wobble when standing, but I guess that's pretty normal for all standing desks.

I had a few issues with this table, but I was able to sort everything out with Colby! It seems like it got damaged during shipping, but that's more about transport than the table itself. Overall, it's a nice-looking table, but there are definitely some things that bother me. The monitor mount wobbles a lot and isn’t reliable at all. Even with good gas springs, it just can’t hold that thin board. The rods for the lifting mechanism make a lot of noise, and if something goes wrong, they don’t offer replacement parts; you have to take the whole table apart and send it back. It doesn't feel stable either. I'd say it's not suitable for gamers or streamers because even the mouse makes a loud noise when you put it down.

I really love this desk! I went with the larger size for added room, and it’s. Putting it together was pretty straightforward, although I did have a bit of trouble with getting the screws into the bars—might have been because of the paint. It wasn't clear how the metal square plates should be positioned, so I had to do some figuring out. I think it would be helpful if the instructions had a bit of an update. Otherwise, the motor works great!
