Sturdy but Tough to Put Together
I recently got this for showing off some old collectibles and Lego creations. I'm really impressed with the quality of this unit. A lot of cheaper options are made with flimsy materials, but this one is built from solid wood and aluminum. It's sturdy, but it also weighs about 180 lbs, so good luck trying to move it around your place. It's best to set it up where you want it and leave it there. As for putting it together, it's quite challenging, and you can't do it alone. One tricky part is lifting the top half onto the bottom half—it’s about 90 lbs that you need to lift four feet in the air and align perfectly with the bottom shelf. I tried to do it by myself and almost damaged it in the process. Once it’s all together, though, it stands strong and can be slid across the floor by one strong person. Just keep in mind that the orientation of each piece is crucial for assembly. The instructions show how it needs to be, but some of it is pretty subtle, so you need to pay close attention to make sure everything lines up right.
