Fantastic value for this watch case!
I just received this watch case, and I'm really happy with it. It's sturdy and has a nice glass top that's secure during shipping. The hinges are simple, but they do their job and keep the lid open nicely. The pillows inside are soft and comfortable, not stiff at all. I love the small feet on the bottom that keep it elevated off my dresser, so it slides around easily. The bottom drawer is for my smaller watches and other little items. Finally, I have a stylish case for all the loose watches I had lying around. There are so many options out there, some with not-so-great reviews, but I decided to go with Hawkins Woodshop for this one. It checks all the boxes for me and has found a permanent spot in my room. The only minor downside is that the front isn't made from one solid piece of wood, which makes the lid and drawer look a bit disconnected. The bottom drawer is good, but not as smooth as a custom-made one would be. However, these are just small issues. For $35, this is an incredible deal, and I highly recommend it!

Great watch box at a fantastic price
I've spent quite some time looking for the right watch box and finally found it! Here’s what I like about it:* The rustic wood with a glass top gives it a nice look. The finish isn’t perfectly smooth, but it’s not splintery either. I find it easy to sand if I want it even smoother. I personally like the bit of texture it has.* It uses hinges to hold the lid open, which work perfectly fine, even if they’re not perfectly aligned.* The soft pillows inside allow watches with shorter bands to fit nicely, which is perfect for my small wrists.* The lid closes softly, so even if it were to come down quickly, the edges are covered with soft brown material to protect both the wood and the glass.* Visually, it looks great! I was hesitant about the brown color, but it turns out it’s neutral enough to make my watches pop!This box is compact, which fits my 37mm-40mm watches just right. Solid case for a great price!

The bottom drawer works but isn’t smooth like a custom piece would be. Still, for just $35, it’s a find, and I’d recommend it!

Real wood and a glass lid
I went with four of the 12 watch cases instead of two 24’s. I have stacked the cases with no ill affects. (Only 2 high) Just make sure the cases are completely square around the perimeter. The outer wood frame seems stronger than the case bottom. The cases have a real glass lid and have had no issues keeping my Solar watches charged. My two radio controlled watches have had no issues receiving their signals.. I have found that on larger watches with stiff straps they fit in case better without the pillows. The watch case has a felt lining to prevent any scratches. There is enough clearance between the top of watch dividers and glass to put moisture absorbing bags in case with watches. The case does not lock which would be nice to keep curious little hands out. The only minor complaint I have is the wood is rough cut and I got a splinter when I first got them. All and all the case seems to be of decent quality at a good price.
