Sturdy and solid with a few blemishes.
Overall, I really like this nightstand. It was machined pretty well and I didn't have a lot of trouble putting it together. Instructions were detailed but straightforward. You must have your own hammer or mallet and a screwdriver for assembly as one is not included, which I was appreciative of since I have many from previous kits collecting dust. There are not any extra screws in some cases, so be careful with the hardware. Although it was very thoughtfully protected in the box, some pieces had chipped areas or off center spots. I suspect it was a quality control issue since these were checked as they were removed from the box. A couple show on the outside, including one at the top of the top drawer. It's heavy and sturdy, but not too difficult for an older woman to move. The drawers have a lot of storage space if you use your nightstand for storage, which I do. I found the size to be just right and the drawers slide very well. In fact, they slide out easily when you try to move it. With the exception of the blemishes, which I can probably paint or paper over, this is a decent value at around the eighty dollar mark at the time of this review. I would buy again for the two drawer design and the raised foot at the base.

A great piece of furniture
This is a very heavy piece. I was expecting a flimsy piece as it wasn't that expensive but boy was I wrong. Its very solid and matches my guest room perfectly. It took me a little bit of time to put together as I tend to move slow as I'm very easily distracted but it was very easy.
