Perfect for my pups and home!
I absolutely adore this! The assembly was straightforward; it took a bit of time, but it wasn't tough, and all the hardware and instructions were included. I've received so many compliments on it and have shared the link with friends and family who want one for their homes too. It looks so much nicer than a metal crate! My dogs were a little hesitant at first, but they got used to it within a couple of days, and now it’s their favorite place to hang out. We keep the gate open during the day so they can come and go, and it’s easy to close and lock when we need them in. I love that it has a spot for food that can be removed for extra space. I am incredibly impressed with this dog crate furniture. It is a substantial, high-quality piece that looks great in the room and provides a lot of space for my dogs. My dogs hated their regular cage-crates and would throw fits when we had to put them away. But now when we come back home, they're just laying peacefully within this lovely furniture, all nice and calm. One of the pieces had been damaged during shipping (no fault of Hawkins Woodshop). However, Hawkins Woodshop handled the situation very well. They were extremely helpful and communicative from the start, making sure a replacement part was sent out as soon as possible. They kept me updated throughout the entire process until the issue was resolved. It’s rare to find such proactive customer service these days. I really like the look and durability but it’s hard to find a tray or anything that fits in there to protect the wood if they were to have an accident or spill the water. It took us forever to put together the instructions could be more detailed or better at showing which way the pieces should go. I really like the way my living room looks with this piece and it fits perfect.
