Thick, solid, beautiful
Wow, this piece is stunning! I got it during a special deal at Hawkins Woodshop, and I'm really happy with it. The acrylic is thick and feels solid, with casting and bending, and it arrived in flawless condition with protective film over it. No nicks or scratches at all. Seriously, if you're going to handle it, use some white gloves like you do for delicate optics. It keeps everything looking pristine. My plan is to use it as a printer stand with some paper storage on the shelves. Just set it down and let it be, and you won’t have any problems with scratches. And if you do get any, you can buff them out pretty easily. A little tip: acrylic gathers dust quickly, so keep some anti-static cleaner handy for it. The only small issue I've got is that the shiny silver Chicago screws don’t quite match the dark blue color. I think black ones would look better, but that’s just my opinion. I’m going to switch out the outer bolts for some dark blue ones to match. Overall, pleased with my purchase!
