Great value for a compact chair
This is a nice quality chair for the price. I got it to replace my old computer chair for a small, narrow desk. It tucks under the desk easily and has enough space under the seat to store some small computer items since my desk doesn't have drawers. I also like that it works as extra seating for guests. I'm 200 pounds, and it feels sturdy enough to hold that weight and maybe more. Just be cautious on carpet—lift it when moving instead of sliding it, especially using the legs. Assembly was a breeze, though one leg was a bit tricky with the tool. Overall, it took me about 15 minutes to put together because I had to open the seat compartment to see where the attachments go. It's a good height for seating at tables and is comfortable enough. The padding looks nice, but there was a strong chemical smell when I first opened it. Luckily, it faded quickly as I assembled it. I’d suggest this to family, and I purchased it with my own money. If you want something that’s quality enough but not too fancy, this one’s a good choice without breaking the bank. So far, this bench has been great for my 8-year-old! She’s used it a couple of times since we put it together yesterday. The assembly was pretty straightforward, but I can see how someone with bigger hands might find it a bit cramped; I bumped my fingers into the corners a few times, but it wasn’t a big deal for me. The bench feels solid and stable on level ground. The storage area is a bit limited—it holds two John Thompson Music Theory workbooks stacked lengthwise, with just a bit of extra space. A half-inch thick three-ring binder fits in there too, along with a couple of thin books on top. We added a liner to protect against the black dye coming off onto the music materials, and I like that the lid closes quietly, which my daughter appreciates. It did smell a little when we unpacked it, but that’s fading now. The packaging did a good job keeping it safe during shipping, though one leg had a slight scratch and could’ve used some paper wrapping. When putting it together, I noticed it was pretty dusty and took a few wipes to clean it up, but once it was all cleaned, the bench looks and works really well!
