Customer Reviews
These lights are just what I needed for my backyard! They've been hanging for three years now, and I only lost one bulb during that time. They're really high quality and come with extras, which is great. Each set is 48 feet long, and I got two to fit my small deck perfectly. For parties or even just enjoying the evening outside.

Great string lights, a few tips!
These string lights are top-notch! They’re made with a thick gauge, so I can tell they'll hold up well. If you're planning to get these, I'd suggest swapping out the included bulbs for some ASOKO LED Dimmable Vintage Edison Bulbs. They give off a warm, cozy light and last a long time, plus they use much less energy than standard filament bulbs. Adding an Otronics dimmer with a remote will definitely enhance the vibe. You might also need a GE 3-Prong to 2-Prong Ground Lift Adapter and a weatherproof outdoor extension cord, depending on your setup. I’ve secured my lights using rubber-coated black wire and black zip ties, which keeps them from sagging too much and provides extra stability, especially during windy days.

I bought five sets of these lights for our pool area and set them up this weekend. The quality is impressive; it seems like they crafted the string and then encased it in a solid rubber mold, making them sturdy and water-resistant. Each bulb has a mounting tab above it, so you can attach them without pinching or damaging the wiring, which is a nice touch. The packaging was great, no tangles at all, and the bulbs were packed separately in another box for extra protection—plus, each set included a spare bulb. Since we strung them over a span of more than 25 feet, and some are over the pool, we decided to use a 1/8" galvanized steel cable and secured each bulb’s mounting tab to the cable with stainless steel zip ties. That way, it minimizes stress on the wiring and ensures safety. When we flipped the switch for the first time, it was a real wow moment! The bulbs aren't super bright on their own, but together, they create a lovely incandescent glow that lights up the area nicely. I wish we’d found these sooner! I used to hang white Christmas lights in the enclosure for some illumination and would always have to use flashlights to see the grill! There are other similar options out there, but I'm happy I chose Hawkins Woodshop for this. The kits have a high-quality feel and look much more expensive than they are. While they’re not the cheapest, they’re a great buy, and I’m relieved knowing I won’t have to worry about whether they’ll work like I did with those lower-quality Christmas lights that had those fake plastic globes.

Impressed with quality and elated with look!
I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to for these Brightech lights! We got them to hang around our deck, using some 2x2x8 poles from Home Depot. I wanted to create a nice atmosphere for our backyard hangouts, and they did not disappoint. The ambiance is beautiful and exactly what I was hoping for. The Edison bulbs give it a nice vibe, and the spacing is just right—not too cramped. One thing to note is their WEIGHT. These are commercial-grade lights suitable for cafés and restaurants. They look great, but they’re heavy. My initial idea to hang them didn’t work out because I set the poles in planters, and they toppled over due to the lights' weight. We ended up securing the poles to the side of the deck, using industrial eye hooks to hang the lights, and it looks fantastic! I actually appreciate how sturdy they are; you get what you pay for! Plus, the customer service from Hawkins Woodshop was!

So impressed with these lights!
I usually don’t write reviews, but I had to for these Brightech lights! We got them for around our deck, strung between some 2x2x8 poles from Home Depot. They really create such a nice atmosphere in our backyard for those chill evenings. The ambiance is beautiful and just how I envisioned it. Plus, they’re Edison bulbs, which add some charm, and the spacing is —about 3 inches apart, so they’re not too much. One thing I was surprised by is how heavy they are. They’re commercial grade, for cafés and similar places. They look great but are heavy. My original idea didn’t work out, as the planters I used to secure the poles tipped over because of the weight. Instead, we drilled the poles to the side of our deck, making them sturdy, and now they hang from some heavy-duty eye hooks. It looks! That weight actually turned out to be a good thing—worth it! And their customer service was top-notch too!

Perfect addition for outdoor vibes
These string lights are really high quality and sturdy. I suggest swapping out the included bulbs for ASOKO LED Dimmable Vintage Edison Bulbs. They create a much cozier, warm light and last way longer than the regular filament bulbs, plus they use less energy. Also, grab a remote control dimmer like the Otronics 580W Max for easy adjustments. You'll likely need a GE 3-Prong to 2-Prong Ground Lift Adapter and possibly an Outdoor Extension Cord, 3-prong Weatherproof, 16 Gauge, depending on your outlet location. I secured the lights by running a line of rubber-coated black wire and using black zip ties, which helps keep them straight and secure in windy weather.

Awesome Outdoor Lights
I’m really happy with my Brightech WP Outdoor Lights. I wanted to create a nice vibe on my large deck that's surrounded by big trees, and these lights have done the trick. They bring a great ambient glow that makes this space for hanging out, whether it's winter or summer here in Alaska. The lights are both sturdy and stylish, and I like the bulb design. I’ve got them set up outside now, even in the rain, and they’re holding up just fine (they're waterproof!). Hanging them was a breeze; it took me about an hour to put up two sets of 48ft lights. Just be careful not to step on the sockets—they can bend a bit, but they're easy to fix. I’m wondering if the chilly weather will affect them, but I see other folks around me using Christmas lights all winter long. Thanks for such a solid product! By the way, I have another set I’m planning to use indoors.

Good lights, just not critter-proof
These lights are pretty good. I hooked them up to a dimmer and a remote, and they work just fine. But I had a squirrel chew through one of the wires, which caused one of the light sockets to drop. The other one still worked, so it's a mixed bag. It's frustrating but at least I got rid of one pesky squirrel!
