Great lights for the patio!
I was really happy with these lights when I turned them on at night. They soak up sun for most of the day and stay lit from dusk till dawn. The description said they were glass, but luckily mine are plastic, which has been great. They've held up well through the intense Texas summer heat and the rain. With winter ice storms coming, I'm crossing my fingers they hold up then, too. The light they give off is a warm yellow that creates a nice atmosphere—not too bright or too dim. A solid purchase that makes our balcony feel more inviting. UPDATE: These lights made it through an icy winter and some crazy wind gusts without a hitch! Occasionally, a bulb will dim, but just twisting the cap fixes it right up. Happy with this product!

Still Going Strong
I bought these solar lights in May 2020 and I'm still amazed at how well they're holding up! It's now August 2023, and they're still shining bright every night. I haven't even had to replace any of the bulbs that came with them. They’ve handled some seriously cold temperatures here in the Midwest without any issues. I’ve been really happy with how long they’ve lasted and the amount of light they provide. I liked them so much that I ended up getting two more sets for the other side of my place!

Great addition to my planter
I really like these solar string lights for my privacy panel planter. Since it's freestanding, I didn’t want to deal with a power cord across my patio. The clips on the lights allowed me to double them up, making the spacing between the bulbs smaller. They give off a warm light that's just bright enough. They're well made, and I appreciate that the bulbs are plastic. The large solar panel clips nicely to the back of my planter box.

Nice lights for our camper awning
We're using these lights on the awning of our camper, and they provide just the right amount of illumination without overwhelming brightness. The other lights we have are way too intense. The solar charge lasts about 2-4 hours depending on sunlight exposure, and I love that the solar panel disconnects easily, allowing you to position it in a better spot during the day. A lot of similar products feel flimsy and don't hold up, but these feel sturdy, and with a little care, I think they'll last for several camping trips. They're perfect for outdoor activities or even lighting up a corner of the yard for gatherings.

This item is solidly built. I do wish the solar panel battery had a larger capacity, or that the light strings could plug into a power bank with a USB or connect to an AC power source if necessary. I wouldn’t mind paying more for these extras. I hope Hawkins Woodshop considers this feedback to enhance their product.

Perfect lights for our camper awning
We put these lights up on our camper’s awning, and while they don’t give off a ton of brightness, they provide just enough light to see without being too overwhelming. The other lights we have are way too bright. The solar charge lasts about 2-4 hours, depending on sunlight. I love that the solar battery disconnects easily so I can reposition the panel for better sun exposure during the day and reconnect it at night. A lot of similar products feel flimsy and only last a year, but these are pretty sturdy. With a bit of care, they should last for several years of casual use. Overall, I’m pretty happy with these lights. They have a nice look, are shatterproof, and are simple to set up. One of the strings, on the other hand, doesn't seem to last. It only stays lit for around 30 minutes. Both strings are on the same deck but on different rails, and they get the same amount of sunlight. They turn on together, but the one on the right side just fades out after about half an hour. :/
